Shadow Dragon (PM)

Overview: Former proud Mystic Hero and evil Demon Warrior struggled in finding his redemption and honor from the tragedy - bad childhood, mistreatment and betrayed by Mystic Ponies, turned into a Dark Mystic Warrior, hurt his own family and friends, and also banishment from his home after saving it. After meeting Twilight Sparkle and her friends; he decided to stay with them for learning about friendship and finding his inner peace, but he also helps and protects them from danger.

Details: Not only based on both heroes and antiheroes, but also make of them - Chase Young (Xiaolin Showdown), Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars), Kenshin Himura (Rurouni Kenshin), Sora (Kingdom Hearts), Batman (DC), Kamen Rider Kuuga (Kamen Rider Franchise), Shadow the Hedgehog (Sonic the Hedgehog Franchise).

His first appearance is in JusSonic's Version of MLP Universe, Shadow Dragon is both antihero and villain as he wanted nothing but revenge on his own kind and Equestria for betrayal and wrong him as a demon and death of his loved ones. But in this PM Version, he is heroic version, who is trying to fit in the peace and tranquility world with Twilight Sparkle and her friends. Other than just fighting the enemies while protecting his new home, friends and love-interest; he also must finds his inner peace and learn about modern days and friendship lessons. He is also my favorite main character to design and make a story about him.

Voice Actor: Matt Lanter, Tara Strong (Child)

Personality: Courageous and heroic proud warrior, who is very skilled in his mixed martial art skills. He fights the battle with honor and dignity. Even though there maybe a trap, cheats and ambush for him to handle, he is determined to fight till the end of fight. Though not highly intellect and genius as Shorty Thinking and Tailtech, he can be cunning and resourcefulness in using objects against his enemies, tricks his enemies and even planned a strategy to defeat his enemies. He hates jokes especially he doesn't have a sense of humor since his childhood. He can be tempered and stubborn whenever he's too proud or scared of his mistakes, problems and shame. He can be frustarted, annoyed and irritated when ponies ignored his warning and concerns especially Yaks (due to them being the enemies to Ma Ponies). Other than that, he is compassionate and kindhearted pony who cared for his family and friends deeply especially Twilight Sparkle, Lance Justicestrike, Nyx and his father.

History: 1200 AE, Mystic Tao found an infant Shadow Dragon on his doorstep. Surprisingly yet concern and feared of the foal's safety, Tao adopted the baby. Like Dragon Kick, Mystic Tao raised and took care of the child as his own son. Tao feed him, helped him, discipline him, taught him about life, and trained him through martial art skills of Ma Fu. He and Dragon Kick became very close with him. Tao even named the child 'Dragon Hope' due to colt's crimson eyes as dragon and believed in hope. At his early age of 6, Mystic Tao brought Shadow Dragon before Blackwitch to see the future. However, Mystic Tao found out that his adopted son will grow more powerful and stronger but more destructive and dangerous in defeating both enemies and allies. Thus, he will become a demon. Despite of that, Mystic Tao is determined to prove that his adopted son's fate can be changed.

In his childhood, Dragon Hope struggled fitting in Mystic Society while he was being called 'Demon' by Mystic Ponies due to his dark future. Whenever he tried to something good, bad things happen to him or being ignored and forgotten. He was even bullied by Terrorcreep, Shorty Thinking treated him as inferior, Blazefist and Saber Dragoon treated him as an outsider, and Laxtinct ran away from him. And the only ponies he trusted and loved are his family, Aquastroke, Tailtech and Icy.

At aged 10, everything changed when Shadow Dragon earned his own cutie mark - Black Snake and White Dragon in Heart Shape with Demon Eye and the power of Element of Darkness after he rescued, befriended and earned his own pet - Dragoking the Hydragoon. Throughout years later, he trained very hard and earned both respect and trust from his own kind. He became both Mystic General and Ultimate Warrior of Death. He even named himself as Shadow Dragon since he's part of darkness and his first name. He also foundered the team with his friends as Dragon Strike Force.

In 1400 AE, Shadow Dragon discovered the old portal, which will led him to Equestria. He eventually met Princess Celestia and Princess Iris Crystal, whom he has befriended and fallen in love with. He and his team secretly helped and protected the Equestria as they did with their home while learning more what it means to be a mortal, causing Shadow Dragon to question why both world disconnected from each other. During the conversation about the 'special' treaty between Mystic and Equestria Ponies, he plans to confess her about his feelings but instead he ruined it due to his newly stranger named Drake Blackstar, who is also Iris Crystal's fiance. And because of him showing the powers and attacking Drake Blackstar for abusing and treating his love-interest like trophy, he's been stripped off from military while making him decide to run away from home, with Iris Crystal in marriage and making new family. But it did not last long as he lost his wife to Drake Blackstar, whom he killed by his hooves in anger and hatred. Dark Curse came to him for a special proposal in making him powerful for a revenge on both Mystic and Equestria.

After accepting his new terrifying and demonic powers, Shadow Dragon helped and led Dark Curse and his army in succeeding their coup against both Mystic and Equestria for five months. Both Council and Princess Celestia has been imprisoned while a few officers and loyalists escaped and hiding from plain sight. The rule of Dark Mystic Ponies lasted for 10 years while its Demon Generals including himself searched and hunted down of the rebels before their enemies could provide the chance to reclaimed their land. Despite able to get his revenge, Shadow Dragon questioned and doubted himself and the empire's rule as he saw treatment, enslavement and chaotic they are to both mortals and Mystic Ponies - making the latter to resent him.

After the hard reminder and fighting from both his former allies and deceased wife's spirit, Shadow Dragon decided to help them by defeating Dark Mystic Ponies while reclaimed the land and cities for them, and prove his worth and redemption to his team. He even awakened the legendary ancient warriors of darkness - Dark Sacred Knights to help him in battles. War lasted for 5 years in battling with the enemies, his friends slowly regained the trusts and frienship in him. However, during the final battle, their plans have been exposed by mysterious assassins called Swipestrike and brainwashed yet corrupted Nezha Vengito, who captured the key military officers except Shadow Dragon and his team. They launched full assaults on Mystic Jade Palace, defeated most of the enemies including Demon Generals, Swipestrike and even Nezha Vengito, who is still corrupted and angered in challenging and defeating Shadow Dragon. Dark Curse manipulated Shadow Dragon to turn on his friends if not for Tao and Princess Celestia's interference and pleading, making him to choose who and what he needed to be. Thus, he chose the Light and defeat Dark Curse. Dark Curse and his empire have been banished to Darkness Realm forever.

Despite his heroic effort and his allies' recommendation and pleads, Shadow Dragon must face his punishment - banishment from his home realm and exiled to Equestria for eternity, sentenced by Jade Emperor and 8 out of 12 council. Thus, he spent 500 years in exile without contacting or visiting them.

Power Master's MLP Present: After 500 years later, he came to Ponyville for a stay and rest. He even met Twilight Sparkle and her friends. It changed his life in slowly to move on from his darkest past and guilty - reunite with his old friends and family, befriended Mane Five, Cutie Mark Crusaders, Spike and Nyx (whom he treated them as his own), falling in love with Twilight Sparkle and discovered that he has a son from Iris Crystal - Lance Justicestrike, whom he now is raising and training together. He even got involved with Third Mystic War, which put the end of his nemeses and enemies for good. Despite the war has ended, he decided to live with the Twilight Sparkle and continued protecting both realms from harm at all cost, and even defeated his enemies as well.

'I am Demon! I am the Darkness! I am Shadow Dragon!' - When he faces his enemies, he installed and make his introduction, fears and memo to them.
'Battle Time' - Whenever he's on battlefield or duel, he will give battle cry.
'Darkness is part of me' - Admitting his power, ability and part of his life.
'Don't mess with the Element of Darkness' - Proud of his connection to Element of Darkness at his enemies.
'Mares...' - Whenever mares or Twilight Sparkle muttered about mistakes or corrected him, he muttered about them. 
'I hate spicy food' - He quoted whenever he encountered it or tasted them.

Ability:
Element of Darkness: Chosen by the ancient relic from the past, he can use it as the means of both wrecking and destructive force in defeating his enemies. He also can used it to destroy the land and even kill his enemies. It also can be used for good to protect his allies, friends and family, and even restore the lives of corrupted ponies into normal. But be combining with the Element of Light, they can create a powerful force of destruction and rebirth to both life and death. It has several tricks to help him:

a) Shield of Darkness: Forming a rounded shield as defense.
b) Darkness Spheres: Firing some shadowy ball-like blasts at his enemies.
c) Manipulation: Allow him to manipulate and trick his enemies' mind into following his desire and words. It sometimes allow the user to corrupt pure purified and true selves into more darkness.
d) Nightmare Rage: Activating his inner rage which helps him to damage the health, will and strengths of the enemies with either direct physical attacks or unleash the nightmare.
e) Chaos Hyper Blast: Releasing powerful dark energy hail-like on his enemies.
f) Darkness Oblivion Beams: Allow the user to unleash full-powered gigantic beam-like at his enemies.
g) Supreme Canon: Allow the user to unleashed the powerful blast against the enemy.
h) Elemental Power: Like Element of Light, it can control and manipulate the Elements under its control. He even can use twelve elemental powers to defeat his enemies.
i) Destruction: Allow the user to destroy anything and even the universe itself. It's a very dangerous and uncontrollable power to use, and not even Shadow Dragon can use it, which he is very against it.
j) United Friendship Rainbow Power: When combining with Element of Light and all of Elements of Harmony, the Element of Darkness can perform its powerful attacks against, purified and restore the enemies, or replenish the energies and strengths of ponies. It followed what the user's desire as well as perform its Dark specific attacks. It recreate or destroy the world. It follow what the user's desire: Destruction or Creation.

Blazing Dragoon Style: A strong yet accurate and swift self-defense martial art skills. This is based on dragon's movements as slippery and quickly in avoiding the attacks while striking his punches or slaps back at him. He favorite it as he was taught by both Monk Andy Lau and Dragon Kick.

Black Serpent Strikes: Like a serpentine, powerful yet effective and strong martial art skills that allow him to grab and held his opponent's hoof tightly before using his another hoof in serpent style to strike a hard blow on head and chest. He can even throw his opponent off by grabbed by neck.

Rabbit Speed Kicking: By using speed, Shadow Dragon can jump at high and long distance as well as kicking at his enemies by top, chest and legs. He will move like a rabbit.

Falcon Wing Deflect: A difficult and enduring skills like falcon in blocking and deflecting the blasts from his enemies, though he will feel pain and injuries from the attacks.

Restore Spell: Despite part of Darkness and its destructive force, he can restore corrupted ponies, and even those who were born in the light to their original forms.

Mystic Forms: 
a) Super Mystic Form/Rainbow Power: It allowed Shadow Dragon enter his super forms while increasing his strength, speed magic, abilities, skills and even Element of Darkness. This allowed his Element of Darkness to be more destructive and deadly attacks against his enemies. Shadow Dragon's mane and tail are covered with Rainbow Mane (golden, crimson and navy).
b) Demon Dragon Form is Shadow Dragon's humanoid yet demonically Dragon Demon with destructive power.

Aura Dragon Power: Shadow Dragon's enhanced and boasted power allowed him to summon a spiritual powerful dragon as his guidance and ally. But, it also helped him form an armor, increase his powers and even having a destructive dark powers. If his negative emotion keeps increasing, his Aura Dragon Power will be corrupted and unleash destructive force on those who stands in his path.

Weapons:
a) Darkness Blade: Shadow Dragon's own personal and favorite sword, which was made from both Darkness Stone and Mystic Steel. When combined with Element of Darkness, it allowed him to unleash its normal attacks and destructive force.

b) Dragoon Darkness Sword: An upgrade and advanced weapon of Darkness Blade. This is combined with the power of Ancient Black Demon Dragon and increased Demon-Mystic Stone, which belonged to the Herald of Ronin. This increased his Element of Darkness and its destructive powers in defeating his enemies.

c) Sword of Underworld's Darkness: Another advanced form of Darkness Blade yet an ancient weapon. It is one of Two Powerful Swords that helped allies in against the darkest and powerful enemy. This allowed him to become more destructive force in destroying his enemies. It also can be combined with Sword of Heaven's Light and Sword of Balance, for destructive and rebirth powers.

Equestria Girls' Alternative Form: His counterpart is struggled and pained Shadow Dragon, who is trying to find his inner peace from the loss of Iris Crystal. Like his pony counterpart, he is dating with Twilight Sparkle.
